Housing Arrangement

On-Campus Housing

ÿ�մ������� residence halls provide quality housing services to students and support their academic needs and personal success. SMSU requires all students (domestic and international) under 21 to live on campus during their first year. Visit the Residence Life page to read about and understand your housing contract and application before signing. Once you are done, return your housing application form today! This includes all international students as well.

To help you plan, here is a move-in checklist of items you may want to buy for your campus dorm room.

Off-Campus Housing

We believe that on-campus housing will be the most convenient option for your personal and academic needs. Please be aware that you can only live off campus if you are 21 or older, with exceptions granted by the Director of Residence Life. Any off-campus housing arrangements will be your responsibility to secure. This could mean staying in a hotel for a week before you can move into an apartment. If this is your first time living in the U.S., we highly recommend living on campus.
