ACCUPLACER Registration & Preparation

Registration

If you would like to register to take the ACCUPLACER, please contact Michael Van Keulen, Associate Director of Student Success, at 507-537-6430 or email Michael.Vankeulen@SMSU.edu. Please reach out at least 1 week before taking the test.  

Preparation

Students can access test preparation packets directly from the ACCUPLACER webpage or can download the free study app.

Students do have the option to retake all or part of the ACCUPLACER. If a student is not satisfied with their scores, they may take time to study and prepare to retake all or part of the ACCUPLACER. The cost to retest is $10 and students may not retest until 30 days after completing their initial exam. Students are allowed one retest within a calendar year. 

Remote Proctoring

Students who are not able to test at SMSU or a nearby Minnesota State college or university testing center may request a remote proctoring voucher. Remote proctoring vouchers are valid 30 days from the date of issue.
